That went out the window pretty quick when Haymon spent **** tons of money on buying slots and noone wanted to watch the fights as he was overpaying his own guys to fight absolute no names.

Im questioning the narrative of this site which is that HBO is going down the toilet, ESPN arent far behind and showtime is killing it showing good content... The viewing figures dont lie.

Theres been long enough for people to make the switch since the inception of showtime being so great, yet they still have less subs and thats always the excuse that's peddled out.

Moreover on that... is people saying Jacobs has dwindled since going with Hearn... how?

Jacobs vs quillin - WBO world championship - 360k average - Haymon.

Jacobs vs Arias - tune up fight - 706k average
Jacobs vs sulecki - final eliminator - 811k average - both Hearn.

bad promoter doe... killin jacobs career doe.
Al Haymon messed up by promising huge/guarantee money to his fighter unconditionally which resulted to a bunch of cherry picked fights on national TV nobody wanted.
    What's the best PBC fight?
    Porter vs Broner
    Garcia vs. Thurnman

They had a deep roster but Haymon is too scared to Macy's them against each other

how is the PBC... which now shows its fights on Showtime.. going to increase showtime numbers? hmm...

When was the last PBC event on free to air non subscription TV and included any fight worth a damn ?

The question youre asking.. is linked to what i want an answer to. If showtime is killing it with boxing, why arent their figures reflecting such ??

I don't understand the excuse Showtime has less subscribers, if people wanted to watch these fights wouldn't they pay the money? I just don't see how that's a credible excuse

This is great news for boxing. We need more exciting fighters in exciting fights, and its also up to the more hardcore fans like us to get the more casual fans involved. I personally phoned/let 3 others know about the fight last night and they all watched it and obviously enjoyed it. I did the same with the Wilder-Ortiz fight, as well. So bottom line keep getting the word out to your friends, coworkers, family, whenever theres a great fight about to happen.

Well it did help that the fight was on at 9:00PM.

Grown ass people are in bed at 11:00PM on Saturdays.

I messaged a bunch of people about the fight (who don't really care for boxing) and they all watched because why not?

                thats easy:

                1) they already live stream boxing through their app, I watch all my showtime fights on my computer, not TV

                2) they outsource their boxing also on facebook and youtube from Time to time, this way their undercards dont cross reflect their prime channel or they use showtime extreme.

                3) they're in less homes and because of the other two, they often dont need to have HBO or ESPN like numbers to hit the quota.

theres a big reason why ken got fired, ESPN top guy is with hearn and DAZN and Peter nelson has been in hot water while Espinoza just racked up another TV award. showtime back in 2015 after Floyd vs Manny suffered a lot, but they also positioned themselves well for the future, they're sitting on excess money and have spent wisely since 2017. since mid 2016, no one has released a calendar as prominent as them when they announce their summer and fall schedules. they may not have the ratings that HBO and ESPN get but they give more avenues, barely talk about ppvs, and dont account for mobile and streaming to try to inflate their numbers.

That was an amazing fight! Loma might want to re-consider fighting Beltran, and fight Linares again! Lara vs. Hurd was close, but I really have no interest in a rematch. Linares did enough to where I want to see a rematch, not more than Mikey Garcia, but more than Beltran!

No Surprise! Arum moving to ESPN is proving to be a GREAT MOVE for him and Top Rank thus far! Just annoying when they delay boxing for some other ****ty sport but overall it has a been a massive upgrade>HBO

ESPN is way too bias which takes away from the fight sometimes but as far as boxing that seems to be universal for the commentator to be bias to the guy the Network is invested in
