Top Rank Boxing on ESPN won the night for combat sports last night. Not only did the Linares vs. Lomanchenko main event draw a 1.0 metered market rating, making it cable television's highest-rated fight of 2018, according to Nielsen overnight data, but the entire Top Rank on ESPN telecast was ESPN's highest-rated Top Rank telecast of the year

so HBO and ESPN hold 9 of the top 10... with wilder vs Ortiz being showtimes only appearance. The same fight that marks Wilders best opponent to date.

Beaten by Golovkin fighting a bum, and Jacobs fighting sulecki in a mandatory shot

But.. but... Hearns done nothing for jacobs.. Wilder is more known than golovkin.

Get ****ed LDBC .. bunch of ****ing scrotums

But wasnt the whole point of PBC to have fights includng the best fighters on free to air?

That went out the window pretty quick when Haymon spent **** tons of money on buying slots and noone wanted to watch the fights as he was overpaying his own guys to fight absolute no names.

Im questioning the narrative of this site which is that HBO is going down the toilet, ESPN arent far behind and showtime is killing it showing good content... The viewing figures dont lie.

Theres been long enough for people to make the switch since the inception of showtime being so great, yet they still have less subs and thats always the excuse that's peddled out.

Moreover on that... is people saying Jacobs has dwindled since going with Hearn... how?

Jacobs vs quillin - WBO world championship - 360k average - Haymon.

Jacobs vs Arias - tune up fight - 706k average
Jacobs vs sulecki - final eliminator - 811k average - both Hearn.

bad promoter doe... killin jacobs career doe.

It means that a ukrainian and a kazahk and a "badly promoted" danny jacobs beat out the WBC american heavyweight champion of the world so far for audience figures

Main markets tuning in for last night’s event included Norfolk, VA; Los Angeles, Memphis, New Orleans and Columbus, OH. The telecast peaked during the final two quarter hours with a 1.1 metered market rating.

I keep saying that promoters are ignoring a demographic that loves boxing. They aren't promoting to them yet they still tune in to watch the fights every weekend.

I shed a tear for Deontay Wilder and his fans after watching this. Damn everyone gets more views than him.
