  • Do you care if a boxer is a "weight bully"?

Personally, I think all boxers should consider their optimal weight cut, and that they should fight in that division. All this talk about weight bullies seems kind of senseless and whiny...unless rules are broken (like missing day of fight weigh-ins).

    Thoughts?

Explain this to me guys. How does a boxer know what weight class their supposed to be in? How does that work in your guys’ opinion?

As long as he can make the official weight then he is playing within the rules.

Go back to same day weigh-ins and 15 round title fights. Then this problem disappears completely.

Didn't you predict Ali doing a master class clinic on the kid?

First of all, don't even think about weight cutting. Real champs don't weight cut cuz their in shape all the time, like Floyd. Boxers should always be close to fight weight.

There is a reason why there are weight classes and weight bullies exploit that system. They end up dropping 2 weight classes and beat world champs they could never beat in their own class. What's so great about that?

Brandon Rios did this for years and beat fighters he would have never beat if they were in his real class. How good you think Rios would be at 154? He would be 6-28.

I never cared enough for this matchup to make a prediction.

I know more boxing than you though that’s a fact.

Not really, what about shrinker PED's? They help you make the official weight and is outside of the rules.

Same day weigh-ins: and then you have a bunch of dead Boxers that jumped over hurdles to make weight.

I wouldn't mind 15 rounders unless someone can note cases of 15 rounds being not safe.

The real answer here is testing. We need to make sure the fighters are clean.

You can't blame Jaime, truth is Ali is at fault. He should be in a lower weight class. He wanted to chase belts at higher weights, you can't blame the opponents for natural size advantages.
