What a shyster. I can't say I blame him, because if I were him I would keep Loma away from Mikey. But, I don't wanna hear it from these fans pretending mikey shok. Pfft.
Loma should grow some and tell Arum to get to work. If my promoter said, "These negotiations will be too hard." Well, that's what you fking get paid to do, lazy ass.Comment

I could have sworn Linares already vacated the option to fight for that belt by taking a WBA voluntary with Gesta? I know that Campbell/Mendy has been ordered as the WBC final eliminator, so I think both Linares/Lomachenko are completely out of any WBC picture. Lot of moving parts, so I could be wrong, but that's what I thought it was.Linares was emeritus champion because of his injury layoff, came back and is supposed to fight the current WBC champion.
Lomachenko beat Linares, so now Lomachenko is emeritus champion and now mandated to fight the WBC champion Mikey Garcia.
If Top Rank and Loma don't want the fight, they give up WBC belt and Mikey is the full WBC champion.Comment

They still had him as the Diamond champion in their latest rankings. I'm not entirely sure how the Diamond belt works but I thought it gets passed onto the winner like the other belts. I thought it was like the WBA superI'm pretty sure there was a short window for Linares to use that to fight Garcia and it went out the window, either when he decided to fight Campbell or Gesta, can't remember which one. That belt is now vacant or on ice or something. WBC has ordered Luke Campbell and Yvan Mendy to fight in a final eliminator for the WBC mandatory, so barring another unification after the Easter fight, Mikey will have to fight the winner of that one. But, IBF also has a mandatory due, Richard Commey, not sure what order he will have to take those in, or if he may even be forced to vacate one of those belts. But I do know that Linares no longer held the WBC Diamond belt.Comment

mikey should grow some and say publically he wants to fight loma on espn. without that starting point why would arum waste his time? loma is the a-side, garcia is the delusional side. loma just fought the guy mikey ducked so mikey not looking to great now. especially with that resume of his full of slow fighters. nice cherry pick fighting easter who just lost. What a shyster. You may be right, but I hadn't seen or heard anything about it being on the line tonight and I could have sworn I read something about Linares forgoing his chance to keep that standing within the WBC when he opted to take on Gesta in a voluntary defense. Regardless, all this convoluted **** just shows what mess these orgs do to boxingComment

Arum is avoiding that fight for Loma because he knows he will lose a purse bid against mikeys team and he will not let that fight on happen on show time where he will lose money from the tv revenue.Comment
-
I think he will do exactly that. Loma is chasing the hard fights, and I don't think he will sit back and let anyone block that from happening.Comment

With the problems Linares caused Lomachenko it's certain they aren't making a fight with Garcia.
