    British Stoppages?

Holy **** did anyone see the Fury vs Sexton fight???!?!?!? Did you guys see the stoppage, guy is up at 8 count and gets the fight stopped. Holy **** why would anyone want to fight in the UK after these stoppages time and time again????!?!!?!

    Terry O'Connor has form.

Sexton was beginning to take a beating, but, as champion, he should have been given another opportunity.

Seemed like an early stoppage to me, at least give sexton another 30 seconds to see if he's fit and able to defend himself.

That was a fair stoppage really. Wobbling his way up, if he let it go on he was getting knocked straight back down. Why let sexton be hit for another free shot? Good decision

Sexton was done. All the referee stopped was a third KO. Its called COMPASSION.

When it is obvious what's going to happen, there is no point letting the fight go on possibly leading to serious damage and a concussive knockout. It just wasn't necessary.

For entertainment purposes you could’ve given let him continue but the refs there for a reason, and If you’re taking into consideration Sexton’s safety then not many people would argue about that stoppage.

They stop them early in the UK, but only if it's the less popular fighter. You won't see the crowd favorite on the short end of an early stoppage. It's just something I've observed watching a lot of UK fights over the years.

That said, bad stoppages can happen anywhere. Plenty of them in the US.

Britain has had a lot of high profile injuries and deaths in the boxing ring. If you're taking a beating you're getting stopped for your own good.
