      Let's change our thinking a little here;

      1- How does Canelo squash all the negatives? By enrolling in voluntary year round testing of course. It's really such an easy resolution to correct his image & only adds more doubt the longer he refuses. Anyone's thinking that GGG should just sign the contract (that none know what is contained, how the split is distributed, or what testing stipulations even are) is simply ignorant & not interested at all on resolving the actual issue that brought both teams here in the first place! Until year-round testing happens, no top contender should step in the ring with him. He'll be fighting Spike in Sept, book it.

      2- How does Golovkin maximize his earnings/legacy while also hitting Canelo in the pocket book at the same time? Fight as often as possible. Saunders doesn't fight until late June, so unless Golovkin can get Murray to drop out, I don't see Billie Joe as his next bout. Gennady only fought 4mins after 7 months on the shelf, he needs another match asap. Preferably he could defend against SDchenko in mid summer then try to unify with BJS or go to Tokyo & fight Murata for good paydays in the fall. Simply wait & see how Saul's (claimed) sales go without GGG and facing a true inferior opponent.

      This is forward thinking (while very risky for Golovkin) but it builds upon where both fighters are at right now & believe that Saul takes a serious hit in one fell swoop. This will build upon the rematch hype if/& when Canelo does eventually enroll in some testing. Canelo will be forced to take a tough fight like Jacobs/Charlo & very well may be beat by either one. GGG can then match up with the winner for a true super-bout while cashing in at the opportune time, ride off into the sunset if he so desires. If Canelo takes another soft touch, well Golovkin can still fight DJ/Charlo as Saul's stock continues to plummet & removing top paydays for Canelo's future.

      It's possible that Golovkin misses out on the big-check but his legacy will be cemented while forcing Canelo to clean up his act & doing what is best for boxing in the long run. I'm not privy to the contract, so obviously if he can get Canelo to do the testing then the rematch should be his first priority.

        I agree! Clenelo has no neck. No wonder GGG found it hard to knock his block off.

          I’m surprised Sulaiman and the WBC jumped off Alvarez’s nutts
          It must have hurt I’m so bad to have to do this to save a little face

              Something is fishy with Canelo. First his body completely changes by moving up 5 pounds from 155 to 160. Then he fails 2 PED tests
              His promoter says he will test every day to prove he is innocent.
              Now he refuses to enroll in the testing program, something very questionable with that whole situation. I can see why GGG pissed off with him and lost respect for him

                Ring Mag is a Joke

                The same Ring Mag whose board of editors almost unanimously voted to strip Canelo of the 160 title only to have Canelo promoter and owner of Ring Mag nix it.

                Yea, Ring Mag is no longer a legit title, it’s the Goldenboy title.

                  Like a few others have stated before: this doesn't really mean anything if the WBC can just as easily place him back in the rankings and at the very same #1 spot once he does enroll.

                  The WBC has not shown us that they are willing to be tough on Canelo yet, so we have no reason to believe they will start now.

                  Another thing to point is: It seems GBP are sooo hell bent on "sticking it" to Gennady by making sure he either misses out on BIG money or has to bend over backwards for BIG money that they are sabotaging Canelo's career and image in the process. To be clear: That doesn't mean that Canelo won't still make $10m against other fighters.

                  They're pulling of the biggest "cut of his nose to spite his face" scheme in boxing ever.

                  I mean, think about it for a second: Every embarrassing, damning, damaging moment of Canelo's career came as a result of either being told to fight Gennady or after fighting Gennady. It's all Gennady. (from giving up the belt, to testing positive, to being dropped due to not enrolling, etc). I've never in my life seen any boxer commit this many atrocities and PR nightmarish stunts due to fighting one man. It's unheard of.

                    I agree in that he should sign up for testing but he's not obligated too, since he's not a WBC champion or scheduled to fight for a WBC championship belt.
