More confusion! Charlo is the mandatory, but Jacobs is the #1 contender? Why is Jacobs the "interim" title holder if the WBC has GGG as champion? It's not like GGG is injured! If Canelo is not ranked, is the WBC giving GGG a voluntary defense to fight Canelo in September, or must he fight Charlo next?

I can't see how anyone can defend Alvarez now. Very sad, for the biggest hope of boxing. In like 20 years the sport will become a joke, and rightfully so, something like wrestling.

Yeah, I thought they were doing a better job than the WBA, but obviously they're both hopeless. "Interim," and "Regular," needs to go! There's champion, and then #1, #2, etc. Interim should only be used when the Champion vacates the title!

This is meaningless he refused to fight for their belt last time and was beefing with the WBC for years. They removing a guy who mysteriously popped up on their rankings months ago and they will re add him the moment a rematch is signed because the fight will have VADA testing just like the last one. Canelo doesn't need a ranking from any of these shady orgs to land a rematch. The rematch gets made because of money not because it's ordered. They fought last year despite none of the orgs ordering the fight and canelo wasn't ranked by WBC at that time.
