Last December 2nd at the Madison Square Garden, Sadam Ali (26-1, 14 KO's) pulled of a major upset by defeating Miguel Cotto in what was his final professional bout. This victory also came with the WBO junior middleweight belt and now later tonight at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, New York - he makes his first title defense against Jaime Munguia, a late replacement for mandatory challenger Liam Smith.

Ali is going to shorten his career staying at this weight then by the time he tries to move back down to 147 it will be too late for his body..

Even if box Rex record for this Challenger is remotely correct he is not even fault a beef plus fighter I can't see how this guy is even gotten that shot at the title by beating mostly guys driving taxis around Tijuana... the record is a padded impressive one but the quality is not there...

I kind of agree i been watching munguia this last few days and i dont see anything special on him, he is big for sure and strong, but slow and lacks fundamentals.

I think Ali its gonna win by decision with some tense moments if munguia its able tu effectively cut off the ring.
