I heard Haney dominated Menard last night in what was considered to be his biggest test yet. Do you think he'll be a future world champion, or is it too early to say?

IMO he probably get one just has boxing is, if they want you to be a champion they'll make you a champion. Now does he has what it takes to stay champion? NO. From what I seen lastnight he is being vastly overrated he has a ripe oppenent in front of him which was meant to be a step up on paper ONLY and for him to look good but never once did he try to win big and this is against an oppenent who mentally quit in round 3 ("HES TOO FAST FOR ME") and an oppenent who never hit him.
Hes young so im not that harsh on em but these are things he will have to improve on if he wants to STAY a champion.Comment

This.
The threshold to be a "title holder" is similar to the threshold to be a "Hall of Famer". Its highly & extremely relative & both are probably easier to achieve today than anytime in boxing history.
So yea I'd probably bet on Haney winning one of the 4 major belts at some point in his career. If he signs with a major promotion soon I think those odds go up drastically too.
Idk about him being the legit #1 guy in a division doe & I'd probably bet against that.Comment

Yes...he definitely has the tools. He has the potential to be a great fighter imo, but it's a bit too early to tell. There are questions that need to be answered, like how will his chin hold up, what will he do if he's pushed out of his comfort zone and what kind of punching power will he have when he sits down on his shots etc. I haven't seen too much of him...but last night he fought in an amateur style, that isn't gonna work against a guy who doesn't move like he's stuck in mud. He'll have to put something on his shots and earn some respect.Comment
