I knew we would start to see Loma's ceiling in this fight, but at the same time this was his most impressive performance to date for me. It was the combination of Linares size and ability. There are plenty of interesting challenges between 130-140, obviously would love to see Mikey above all else. That might be a step too far for Loma, but my god will it be fun watching him try and attempt it.
With Loma's speed and skill I just can't see how mickey can do it. I can only think of mickey catching him like Jorge but that's about it. (I hated seeing that btw because now we'll get a bunch of idiots thinking because of that, mickey "will" beat loma now). After that knockdown by Jorge I don't see Loma making that same mistake again. Maybe I might be one of the few but I think it'd be easier against mickey than Jorge

You are vastly underestimating the threat of Mikey's power, it changes the way fighters have to behave against him. Any 135lber and below is in serious danger. If you observe their attributes without factoring in size, of course Loma does most things better. Take their jabs for example, Loma for me has the better, busier jab, but if you factor in the size and reach, I actually think Mikey will have the better more effective jab in the fight.

Loma is an excellent defensive fighter, but he spends the majority of the fight in the pocket, which is why he gets hit, it's not about making the same mistake as he did with Linares, he will get hit, and hit clean because it's impossible to not get hit by a fighter at the level of Mikey.

Make no mistake, many people will make Loma the fav, but it's a complicated fight, and I think you are wrong about Linares being tougher. Mikey is cerebral, extremely fundamental, a much better judge of distance over Linares, more solid chin, better timing, and he is lights out at 135 and under. My feeling even before yesterday was that it was prob a step too far for Loma, nothing has changed my mind, but I maintain it will be serious fun watching him try, and if he can pull it off, then that will be one of the best wins I've seen in boxing.
