Whyte wants no part part of Ortiz. He will take the safer route and fight Pulev instead for less money.

      1.- Dillian Whyte (Jamaica/GB) SILVER
      2 .- Dominic Breazeale (US)
      3 .- Alexander Povetkin (Russia)
      4 .- Luis Ortiz (Cuba)
5 .- Joseph Parker (New Zealand)
      6 .- Kubrat Pulev (Bulgaria)
      7 .- Tony Bellew (GB)
      8 .- Johann Duhaupas (France)
      9 .- Charles Martin (US)
      10. Adam Kownacki

Next guy in line is Parker . Who is looking elsewhere .

If he declines it is then Bellew who will probably decline .

      Duhaupas ?

      Martin probably .

If Ortiz really wants Wilder !

      1. Wilder first has to get by Breazeale

      2. He has to hope Wilder doesn't lose to Joshua. And a rematch claus either way .

      3. He has a really long wait anyway bc we know how Wilder operates with a
mandatory and this one nearly had him.

      4. Ortiz himself will have a tough fight win or lose against Whyte or Parker so nothings written in stone if its those guys ..

Odds are stacked against the rematch happening .

Less money? What are you smoking? He beats Pulev and he gets a mandatory at Joshua, he beats Ortiz he gets Wilder. Who does he make more fighting, Joshua or Wilder?

Doubt Whyte goes the WBC route unless they enforce the mandatory. If Wilder fights Breazeale and it counts as another mandatory for Wilder then Whyte has to wait until July 2019 to get his shot.

Let's wait for the WBC to clarify this, no point in fighting Ortiz if that is the case, especially after the WBC shafted him, doubt he wants to pay them any more sanctioning fees and he can get Joshua sooner.

Whyte suddenly seems to be not all that interested in chasing wilder if he has to fight Ortiz . Hmmm ?

He shouldn't have to chase Wilder who was offered over 4 Million to fight him .

Why would Whyte wait 2 years as a mandatory in the WBC even if he defeated Ortiz ? lol

And is he really chasing Wilder ?

Hes probably not going to have the belt bc a Joshua fight is inevitable sooner then later .

He would make more money fighting Pulev and no games that the WBC play ......bc Pulev leads to Joshua !

Its nonsensical for Whyte to fight Ortiz if a more relevant Joshua fight can pan out sooner if events were to take a turn and Wilder decides to postpone Joshua .

let’s put the money aside. As a boxing fan who would you rather see whyte fight Pulev or Ortiz?
I don’t think Wilder is afraid of whyte , I just don’t think Wilder is fighting anyone until he knows for sure he won’t get AJ next .

Now with that being said I don’t understand how Breazeale is the wbc mandatory either .

Whyte don’t even want to mention Luis Ortiz name to be honest.

I don’t see that fight happening because Ortiz would knock him out.

Think the loss to Wilder is something that will haunt Ortiz for a lifetime. I genuinely don't see him having the opportunity to fight Wilder again, at least not until after Brezeale & Joshua and then maybe even Fury. How old will he be then? It might just be something he has to live with, a bit like Hagler with Sugar Ray.

As for Whyte, it's the old risk v reward factor that'll stop it happening. Whyte's other option as many have commented is Pulev, probably an easier fight for similar money and potentially leads to a Joshua rematch.

Joshua probably fights Wilder later this year or early in 2019, there will be a rematch...All these guys like Whyte/Ortiz/Miller will be in line for Joshua -Wilder winner late in 2019.
