My first post on this thread. I personally scored it a draw, it is a hard fight to score because you know some of Taylors punches are getting through (just look at Winky's face) but you dont know how many went through and/or how hard when it went through.

I dont have a problem with someone saying that Winky won, I understand there argument. However what I dont understand is when people say Winky Clearly WON . Dude it was a close fight, yeah he possible did win but it was close no clear thing about it. Even Winky's own corner told Winky to him "you win the 12 and we got this fight"...IIRC. I'm not sayng he lost or won the 12 just used that to illustrate that Winky's own people knew it was close.

Therefore I believe his reaction is unwarranted and his decision to not fight Taylor again is also an exaggerated reaction.

i agree that he should rematch (even tho lou dibella doesnt) and that his reaction was not that of a professional but you have to keep in mind that he is still a man and that he still gets upset just like anyone else. to him that was his big night to silence critics. honestly, he handled it much better than i woulda.
but my margin widens everytime i see the fight and i dont pay too much attention to what dan birmingham told him about taking the 12th because i still give him the 12th and hell if thats the deciding factor then you could argue that tito was beating the dog**** out of him cus he once again told winky that he has to win big and cant slack up or he will lose.

look at hbo's website, see who their contracted fighters are and listen closely to lampley and merchant next time they mention those fighters. then listen to how they discribe the opposition. they make the contracted fighters sound like hero's and opposition always sounds like another mountain to climb for the house favorite.
You see if that was the case, then why Forrest was robbed against Mayorga in the rematch, Forrest was fighting under HBO. Forrest def won the second fight against Mayorga.

yes HBO cheerleads and root for their fighters, but to suggest that they bribe or control outcomes of fights is unfounded...

What is Winky so pissed about? He should of lost that fight. He should be happy that the fight ended in a draw.

i said nothing about any bribes or controlled outcomes. what the do is influence the audiences and hype their man before the fight. i honestly wouldnt be too suprised that their influence doesnt leak over to the judges. as far as the mayorga forrest 2 outcome. mayorga simply has more star quality than forrest.. better investment just so they can later build him up to get crushed by someone like dlh.

I think you mean it's easy for a class act to accept a draw, but hard for a whiner to accept anything but a w.
