First off you don't have to commit to the $240 a year, there is no contract. Which means you can pay $20 at a time, if there is a big fight on in a month then you are paying $20, if there are 2 or 3, bonus I guess. How many shows are HBO committed to per year? How many are Showtime? I can tell you the answer, not enough. Which is why fighters are on the shelf for so long.

The big picture you guys are missing is that Hearn is armed with the $125 million per year. For 32 shows (16 UK, 16 US), that is an average of $4 million per show, obviously a good portion of that will be for fighters, he can make some serious fights happen, those fights that we want to see but there is never enough reward for the fighters.

I'm really surprised at the 'Blockbuster' mentality with some of you guys, anyone worth their salt knows that streaming is the future and a big threat to networks, and the 'old ways'. Why do you think every top of the line tv now has built in wifi, smart features, netflix, amazon prime, etc.etc.?

Sounds exciting.

They can’t do silly stuff and pay Gary Russell $1 million to fight Hyland like has happened. Those kind of deals put a huge spanner in the works.

They have an opportunity here to say ‘no showcases’ just real fights and if you lose that’s fine. There’s more dates.

I cannot see that dazn being a success on this side of the pond. $20 a month for matchroom promoted fights simply is not worth it. As far as NFL, nhl, baseball etc we just turn on our TV.

Hearn better drastically increase the amount of American fighters he has signed or it is going to flop big time over here.

From what I have read about dazn, it seems primarily focused on sports popular in Europe. Over here the sports are different
