I'm surprised Linares is this bigger than Loma considering both are former 126lbs champ.
I like both fighters. But I want to see Loma vs Mikey more than Linares vs Mikey.

Could Linares have the same advantages that Loma had on Rigo? All is fair in Karma.

You are comparing a once-in-a-blue moon stacked card against Don King whose events were regularly stacked from top to bottom.
Who gives a sht about Lubin-Charlo man? Yea that card was good but it’s really rare for promoters to stack cards like that.
Nothing can come close to what King did in the 90s.

Damn the size advantage is way bigger than even I expected. I'm officially worried for Loma. Obviously Loma is better in a P4P sense but fighting fast powerful guys who are also way bigger than you is probably the hardest thing to do in boxing. If Loma is not big enough to get Linares respect, it could be Salido all over again when Salido was 11 pounds bigger in the ring, just with an even bigger, way faster opponent. Loma is going to have to box a masterpiece. I know haters will say "but Floyd fought bigger guys" except that's actually not true in this sense, Floyd never fought someone this much bigger than him who was also as fast as him, and was not put at numerous other disadvantages to take the sting out of him like a catchweight or selective drug testing etc etc. Floyd wouldn't even fight the fast guys in his division like Khan, let alone, say, Paul Williams at 154, or Sergio Martinez at 160, to give the closest comparisons I can think of from the crop that existed at 154 and 160 at the time. This is going to be difficult for Loma.Last edited by Boxing Logic; 05-10-2018, 07:42 PM.
