You saying Duva won't let her fighters in it? Might be right. Hopefuly you're not.

Probably right on Arum & I've been arguing with people on that one personally.

Who do we know is aligned with HBO long term? Cuz last time out I thought Usyk was out cuz of his HBO relationship, but that turned out not to be the case.

And has Duva directly said she won't let her fighters in the WBSS or is that just an assumption or based off of things she's hinted at?

Kovalev is one of the network's few remaining stars and they're trying to build Bivol. I wouldn't totally rule it out that they could join the WBSS but I'd be surprised.

You'd think Kovalev would push for it. Although I'm not entirely sure how much he's making with HBO vs what he'd make in this tournament cuz I believe I heard they are dropping the prize pool this time around. Or the 50M that went was spread among 2 divisions before will be spread among 3 divisions this time, but idk the particulars of that & I'm sure Kovalev would need to know that before he decides to push Duva & HBO to let him join or not.

DAMN! They got everyone except Rigo had to **** everything up! This could have been epic with every champion plus Rigo coming down from 122. It's still awesome they got the top 118 guys including Inoue, so Im happy overall, but it could have been really special with Rigo. But unfortunately they blatantly lied about how he was a true 118 pounder and got our hopes up.

Would be so much better if Kovalev vs Alvarez would be a first round match.
Seriously? I thought everyone was saying 175 was unrealistic because of all the boxers with different promoters and Stevenson being a ducker and all that? Are you saying it's actually happening? REALLLY???? OMGOMOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG I am like a 10 year old girl at a Justin Bieber concert right now, or at least being teased about getting tickets. I just hope it's for real. About ****ing time. And not a moment too soon seeing as half the top 175s are already past their primes anyway. So, maybe I shouldnt get too excited since this is basically boxing ****ting the bed yet again and all the best matchups like Kovalev-Stevenson are already far past their best date. But, as long as Bivol is in it I'll still be super excited because at least he is in his prime, exciting, and willing to fight all the best guys, so after Kovalev was ducked his whole career until he got old, this could at least make up for that in a sense for the fans, although sadly not for Kovalev himself, by providing sort of a prime, young replacement Kovalev who hopefully they won't be able to duck his entire prime too since he's still only 26 or 27... but, never put anything past these duckers!

Kovalev has said many times he would love to join it. That's the type of thing he has been itching for his entire career but all the top guys ducked him until he fell out of love with boxing and was slipping, and he never got the chance in his prime. now it's probably too late for him to roll off wins like that but he obviously doesn't feel that way and he would love to join. I dont remember Duva's quotes about it though. She's obviously shown she's willing to put him in there with anyone, but whether she would be willing to give up her HBO dates is another matter. Maybe if the WBSS paid more, and she got to put on the undercard fights for Kovalev's fights in the WBSS, or as long as the WBSS worked with HBO for the Kovalev fights, then I'm sure she would do it. Otherwise, who knows.
