Comments Thread For: Golovkin: Canelo Isn't My Only Option; Not Just Him at My Weight

SANTA MONICA, California Gennady Golovkin understands why reporters keep asking him about Canelo Alvarez. That's why the mild-mannered middleweight champion repeatedly answered all those questions about rescheduling their canceled rematch and Alvarez's performance-enhancing drug ordeal both before and after his second-round knockout of Vanes Martirosyan on Saturday night at StubHub Center. Golovkin (38-0-1, 34 KOs) just wants fans and media to realize that the success of the remainder of his career isn't predicated on whether he fights Alvarez again.

I mean, yeah, he's making the right noises, at least. That's something. Let's wait and see what happens.

Be a bad look if Loeffler can't put together something with one of the fighters mentioned.... should be Derevyanchenko first in line, of course, but hell, any of them would do for me.

Other than an exemption being granted for a unification with BJSaunders, i don't think golovkin has any other options than fight his jbf mandatory if he wants to keep all those belts?

For the g-tards that say Jermall doesn't "deserve" or "should fight someone else" lil g says it could be done no matter what you twinkies think or say. It's up to him to make his promoter make it happen. From 37seconds to 56 seconds in the video.
