Of course he's not ordinary. That's why he's 10-1 underdog.

i see... but you do realize he lost already.. did he avenge that lost?He wasn't on any respected P4P list until he defeated Martinez in spectacular fashion in his second weight class to win a second world title in his seventh fight (6-1). He's now already in his third weight class in what will only be his twelfth fight. If he blows away Linares then his claim as P4P #1 is as good as anyone's right now.Comment

They can hype this fight up all they want. But Linares has had at least 1 fight stopped in his career on cuts and has been cut in other fights and he is facing an accurate puncher that does damage when he lands. And Linares has been TKO’ed (3) times in his career, dropped at least (2) other times in fights he came back and won, so his chin is suspect. Won’t go the distance...Last edited by markther; 05-09-2018, 06:19 PM.Comment

Wow... Not sure if serious or sarcastic.
So moving up to 135 and picking Linares was an obvious cherry pick by Loma, right?Comment

I actually think he gets a lot of grief on here because back in the day people called him chinny after getting starched by Salgado then especially after DeMarco in a fight he was easily winning. People don't tend to forget that.
He does deserve some props though. He hasn't lost in a while and the names he beat aren't world beaters but aren't bad at all (Mitchell, Crolla, etc).Comment

Does it matter he beat those guys on his third fight or 30th? Beating up a bunch of cab drivers for your first 30 fights gives you some special status? How about beating 396 amateurs? Do you believe there are some good fighters among them? Whatever he's doing, it's working. He's fighting this weekend at Madison Garden, making million plus, while you steam in your mothers basement.I like Lomachenko, but he's been in the pound-for-pound conversation since he was 3-1.. how? Its not like he's 30-0 or a five division champion.. we can't give that title away when so many before him have done a lot more.. ijs.. wait until the man does something more than everyone else.Comment

I generally agree with the points made here.I actually think he gets a lot of grief on here because back in the day people called him chinny after getting starched by Salgado then especially after DeMarco in a fight he was easily winning. People don't tend to forget that.
