Comments Thread For: Munguia's Trainer: Sadam Ali, Golden Boy Picked The Wrong Guy!

As Liam Smith called in sick to face WBO junior middleweight titlist, Sadam Ali, Golden Boy Promotions was left scrambling to find a replacement on late notice. And it was undefeated Mexican contender Jaime Munguia (28-0, 24 KO's) who got the call to face Ali this Saturday night at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, New York as the main event on HBO.

I love this fight. This is the same guy ggg wanted to fight. I love the way Sadam Ali fights but I see Jaime Munguia winning this one. Great fight! I love it!

This is going to be very intriguing. The De la Hoya factor kind of heightens the fight a bit.

Will Munguia be the next Lubin? Meaning he had no real experience versus credible fighters before getting worked in one round. (Not saying Ali will KO him in one round) or will he be the next Tank (Not saying talent wise) who didn't get the experience but was so talented he defeated a champion in impressive fashion.

I favor Ali 60/40 based on experience and skill but I am very interested in this fight this weekend.

Munguia has faced c class fighters only and has gotten a few gifts and has had trouble to beat a lot of the rest. Munguia will get exposed I'm afraid... this guy normally fights on aztecatv or being sport... does not impress me at all
