Ward and his promoter Goosen threatened to walk out if Bute was allowed to enter. It's even on the super six countdown shows. It's on YT to watch for yourself.

Then, just before the tournament came to a close, Ward made comments about having to beat Bute to be considered the best at the weight. But when the tournament was over, Ward claimed Bute had to fight a Froch or something before he'd face him. So Bute went and signed up to fight Froch. However, as soon as news came out they were to fight, Ward started complaining about Bute fighting him and said he should have been the guy Bute fought, even though it was Ward's idea in the first place. So Ward ducked Bute TWICE!!

Ward is on video as saying he wouldn't fight Dirrell as they're friends. But Dirrell came out and said he had no problem in fighting Ward. So Ward ducked him as well.
