He basically dominated MW for 7 years, that's a worthy achievement.
IMO not fighting Ward was a money decision. Even if he had lost, if he had done decent which he probably would have, he wouldn't have been able to get a money fight to save his life. And he wouldn't have made any money fighting Ward at that time.

I don't want to be misunderstood, I like Golovkin, but the narrative is not holding water.

Money Mayweather, while off putting is at least transparent.

Has a record of 3-0 (2 KOs) against former, current, and future world champions:
Won against Sergey Liakhovich and Bermane Stiverne (twice).
Has a record of 5-0 (5 KOs) in fights outside his native United States.
Who exactly had Broner beat when you were labelling him the next fighter of the decade??????

Pretty sure he was 4-0(2KO’s) against former/current/future champs before Maidana and two of those were very close decision’s.
So how does that justify labelling AB the next fighter of the decade, when you’re criticising people for labelling GGG a great fighter???
      It’s hypocritical BS man...

I usually respect your opinion on boxing but you’re just coming off as another GGG hater in this thread.

It was pretty obvious Larry was predicting Broner would go on to be fighter of the decade, not that he was by what he had done.

        • That's not bad, he's basically won them all, if you agree he deserved the win over Canelo

            Your point is???

To even be “predicting” someone is going to be fighter of the decade, you’d have to think they were already a pretty great fighter to begin with.

You’re just another one of these salty GGG haters, it’s embarrassing man. You don’t have to like the guy but at least be objective.

No you don't. Broner was a prospect a prospect Larry had too much confidence in. You Golovkin fans are always reaching trying to compare to others and look like clowns doing it. Golovkin at 36 as a resume comparable to what Broner had at 23. His resume is shite you can't defend it, it's sad that you try.

              • "what more is there to say?"

that he's the most avoided fighter in the last 5 years should be added.

also, that he's good enough that you feel threatened.

Probably only time I'm gonna respond to you because your irrational as ****. How is a multiple weight champ a prospect? Wtf is a contender or a champ then? Someone's who's 25 or someone's who's 30?

                  This thread blows btw.

People thought he would still improve a lot, he was young and would go on to be a great fighter, he was still a prospect. I'm not irrational, people trying to make out Golovkin has a great resume are.

Macklin knocked out Alcine. It was a decent win. Many think he beat Sturm while he was a long reigning champ as well.

That said, has GGG hurt your feelings? And if so, what exactly did it?
