Smith is a very basic fighter, I believe any boxer that can move a bit and has some speed beats him.

This is as absurd as when isacr said Smith was the best champion at 154 pounds leading into his fight with Canelo. 100% Smith loses to charlo, lara, and Hurd. He probably loses to brook as well and I was leaning towards Ali had that fight happened. I'm not even sure if he beats trout.

Well said... Liam Smith has beat no one of revelance ever. Liam Williams is garbo (wouldn’t even say he is top 5 British in the division) and should/would have beat him in the 1st fight if not for cut. It can be argued that both Williams and Jimmy Kelly were both rushed into title fights too early in their careers, and don’t even get me started on Apollo Kid (never fought 12 rounds besides the Smith fight). Liam was never anything more than a paper champ that got KO by a cheater and then given a shot for the belt back against a scrub. But hey Warren iirc the IBO belt is still vacant, why not fix that fight so Liam can lose another belt against a real contender

there was nothing in the second fight really, I was surprised Williams accepted the defeat so readily and no one really mentioned it was a close fight...I thought Williams outboxed Smith in the first fight, shame about the cut.

Wouldn't say Williams was garbage, he was good enough to outbox Smith the first time and is a tough mofo.

Definitely top 5 in the U.K and can go onto win a world title IMO, he's only 25.

Idk... Brook, Eggington, And Cheese would all outpoint him. And I would say that currently there are about 8 contenders fighting either ww or mw right now because that’s were the money fights are. Imo Hurd and Charlo are the top dawgs in that division, Lara isn’t fully done yet but I doubt he beats either. Ali and Smith against any of those guys would be a mismatch
