Hughie is actually a pretty decent fighter. I think his lack of experience at a good level and inactivity for a young fighter was his undoing v Parker. As far as ability goes, there wasn't really any significant levels between them. Had Hughie had more experience and let his hands go a bit more, he could have nicked the majority of the rounds. I doubt many good heavyweights would be that interesting in fighting him. He's probably an awkward fight for no reward.

His loss to Parker doesn't look so bad when you consider the Parker v AJ fight. He's only 23. Get him some more fights at a decent level and he can be a decent contender.

hes been written off but people need to remember hes 23. he lost the parker fight but he wasnt outclassed, he'll have learnt a lot from that fight. although i guess the pbc crowd will write him off as useless and exposed because hes not undefeated and took a risk early on in his career
