Haye never had half the talent Roy did and Haye spent the last half of his career pretending to be a boxer, just to collect checks. Roy, for all the things he did wrong, truly loves being a boxer and had a hard time letting go because he's a true fighter. I'm not even a big RJJ fan, but he's real deal compared to Haye.

TBH... Roy doesn't sound that punch drunk to me... you would think he'd be much worse

They definitely had similar styles. Both used a low guard, leaning forward to invite a lead so they could counter and yes once their physical attributes declined they became easy prey for inferior fighters. RJJ was more gifted though he did things I've never seen anyone else do.
