I assume all in an attempt to **** on GGG win last night.
Nice work, you win the day.
I thought it was a good development fight for him. I don't remember saying it was easy?

I think they both improved because of those fights tbh

How do you know since he fought nobody since than? He should fight Jacobs if he KO's him it would show people he did something GGG could not.

Vanes was unlucky to not have got the W over Jermell Charlo, Vanes was edging rounds better than Charlo and for most of the rounds Vanes was landing more.

GGG brutally stopped a guy who has never been stopped before, that's what happens when you stick in the pocket and look to fight, not everyone is good enough to do it like Jacobs and Canelo they're clearly not good enough to do it hence why both of them went running away from the action.

Takes a very good fighter to beat GGG on the backfoot which Jacobs and Nelo both failed at and it takes an even bigger beast of a fighter to beat GGG at his own game which both Jacobs and Nelo chickened out of trying to do lol something which Jermall Charlo and Deryevchenko would be game to try those two are better than Nelo and lil Jacobs.

It was a late replacement for a fight that should have been Golovkin and Canelo. Nothing more to be said.

Vanes was a good 154 lber, but never had a pro fight in two years. Nothing more needs to be said, it was a fun KO to watch and that's all it was.

On to the bigger fight in September, we know GGG is fighting a decent name in his next fight (but the haters need to find something to hate on).

Trout too though. Which doesnt make me,not wanna see him,and GGG. Charlo wont hurt GGG and will get figured out, broken down between rds 7-10. Hope it happens. Iff he dont get GGG or canelo next he needs fight jacobs to put on the pressure and not turn this into a ww style waiting room

The fight is definitely being re-defined historically. The reality is that was Charlo's step up fight & best opponent by a mile at the time, Gabe Rosado was his best opponent previous to Vanes.

Vanes, 28yrs, was a few fights removed from giving Lara & Andrade split decision fight outcomes + he was coming off a W over the tall & crafty Willie Nelson.

GGG got a guy who was 32yrs, hadn't fought in 2 years, hadn't won in 3 years, while winning only 1 of his last 3 fights & those 2 L's being the only undisputed outcomes on his record. Not to mention Vanes fought a division up.

People love to ignore when a fight took place & the potential realities of that time in either fighters life that may or may not have impact on what went down or their mindset with that fight. Fair enough thats obviously a lot to consider, but one still shouldn't make THAT much of fights 38 months apart cuz in boxing things change on a dime all the dime a guy could be a whole different guy 9 months ago let alone 38 months ago.
