Well either way my point remains, he had a definite extra gear against Vanes than he could ever show against Canelo.

If that’s because he’s worried to let his hands go, or because he’s unable to find the openings, then that of course makes sense but essentially he didn’t look the same fighter.

Rd.1 vs Vanes looked like his Canelo and Jacobs fight.

Rd. 2 looked like everyone else.

Vanes is quicker than Golovkin..... also, he was fresh, and Golovkin is a notorious slow starter who often gets touched up while he is taking an early look at his opponent

just like Brook was early, when he did the same thing

that is one benefit of being a smaller guy

but you saw the benefit of fighting a smaller opponent who cannot hurt you in the second round..... and Jacobs/Canelo were neither of those things

it was a setup, and a look-good cherry-pick
