Yes that was a great fight! Glad to see the women get their shine! Right now is a good time for the spitlight to be placed on women's boxing as there are quite a few nice fighters around Cecilia's weight class.

Great fight! I don't understand why some people are wanting to see Braekhus against Shields. There's a 21 pound difference. Reid moved down from middleweight and gave Cecilia problems. At 36, it's time for Braekhus to hang up the gloves while she's still on top. She admitted it would be hard lose weight to drop down to Taylor's division.

I think it's simply a lack of knowledge about women Boxer's stats and weight classes. It's almost assumed that they could all just fight each other, but some fans forget they have weight classes too.

In men's boxing, there's outrage at the thought of Khan vs Canelo. That was 147 vs 155lbs (weigh-in, catch weight).

This would be 146lber vs a 165lber. Just a "who cares about weight, we need a glorified crowning of Clarissa Shields at the disrespect and expense of Cecilia Braekhus"...I am a fan of Shields, but Cecilia doesn't deserve that unless she simply wants the money that would come with that kind of fight.

For Cecilia, it may not be age as the reason she got dropped. To me it might be complacency. She's been at the top of her class and generation for so long and undefeated that she may have times where she kind of gets lost in her own skills and decides to trade for sport and competitiveness. Not saying she "tried" to get dropped, but sometimes you're like "ok! c'mon! lets see if you can handle my aggression and power!"...a confidence and sort of "machismo/a" that can make you more open to rougher fights

Braekhus was getting easily timed doing the same move over and over again. I hope they are not serious about putting her in with Shields.

It was still a decent fight.

Based on her performance it's obvious why she hangs out in Europe and now after that fight last night with a barely a C+ fighter she better stay away from Christina Hammer...

That's what I saw aswell, the fight was okay, but the gloves were way too big!
Women shouldn't be fighting with 10oz gloves at that weight give them 8oz or smaller this is why woman likely can't force stoppages because they don't generate enough power to f their opponent up enough.
