Many of you have recently lodged complaints about the payouts that have come via the vBookie system. Naturally, since we started with The Charles Jay Line, there has been much more activity and the volume of complaints has become more noticeable.
As this issue has been examined (and continues to be), we have come up with a possible cause.
There's nothing necessarily faulty in the way vBookie makes its payouts, except that the system apparently limits bets to a figure of "2147483647" on any one event. That's why you keep seeing that number in the "Total Staked" column. This, in turn, seems to be because the vBookie system, for whatever reason, limits winnings on any one event to 2 billion.
This is why many of you haven't been getting the payouts you've expected.
We've hesitated putting up a lot of new events for this reason.
There are various ways we can deal with this. One would be to ask - officially - that players make their bets low enough so that the win couldn't possibly be more than 2 billion. But that might be impractical, so we are exploring a system to use vCash or some other virtually currency in which the figures are much more manageable.
That would then enable us to do what we've intended to do from the start with The Charles Jay Line - implement a system whereby weekly and/or monthly high scorers will win prizes - admittedly small at first, but getting more and more substantial as we go along. At the same time, we don't want to disadvantage people who have points already, so we'd like to arrange it so that you can redeem them for prizes or even for "head start" points in the revamped CJ Line/vBookie setup.
So if you'll bear with us, I think everything is going to work out well in the final analysis. If you have questions, please PM me or Rick Reeno. Thank you.
