When has the A side ever had to sign their life away?

Usually outbiding the A side is just to get the intangibles on your side (venue, hometown/home country, some favorable judges/refs maybe, sh^t like that).

And from my understanding this isn't a situation that can turn into a purse bid so Hearn & Joshua can always say "stfu, we'll handle the promotion, take it or leave it" while still insuring Joshua sees most of the money he's rumored to be gettin &/or Wilder sees most of the money he's rumored to be gettin.

And if its a real number, but the math doesn't make sense to profit based on expectations then I don't think Hearn gots to abide by the 50M number for Joshua or the 70M+ purses for both.
Hearn knew the $50m was real. I think it's more of a case of him wondering how big the deal is being structured ("Hey, but what's Deontay getting?") and protecting himself as a promoter ("So these guys can offer me $50m but you're only offering me $30m? Where's the rest of the bread going, Eddie?").

This is why the conversation has moved to who is in control. Obviously the offer is real but the caveat is Hearn loses control of the promotion. So Hearn has got to find a way, which isn't easy because the American PPV could represent a significant amount of coin and that disappears if the fight is in the UK. And if he can't find a way, don't be surprised if Joshua fights in the US before the match. I guess we'll see.

He said "you can't offer me a buyout fee and take control of the fight"
"We are not talking about finance anymore I'm aware there is big financial gain in this fight so let's put that aside"

Same man that said "give me $50M and I swear I will fight "
Can't take what he says seriously anymore I'll believe it when the fight is signed

LMAO this coward and his buts. Disgusting pig.
Not really sure why or how you think that is cowardice. He was very clear he wanted he fight and expected the fight - but he wouldn't be signing a contract which was silly basically.
