The punch that shane threw which landed spot on, everyone thought it was game over, that punch was felt by Mayweather’s great great ancestors. When Floyd recovered from that I knew he has one of the best ever chins.

Yea that was a tense moment. Probably the tensest one in Floyd's career. The fight wasn't THAT interesting really, but that 2nd round punch was.

Without doubt the worst this decade from a boxing perspective...
The last two years have been pretty poor also but this year was awful.
        2010 Mayweather-Mosley
        2011 Pacquiao-Mosley and Arce-Vasquez
        2012 Mayweather-Cotto and Canelo-Mosley
        2013 Mayweather-Guerrero, Klitschko-Pianeta and Mares-De Leon
2014 Mayweather-Maidana, W/ Broner and Khan on the undercard
        2015 Mayweather-Pacquiao, W/ Lomachenko on the undercard
        2016 Canelo-Khan, Crolla-Barroso
        2017 Canelo-Chavez
        2018 GGG-Martirosyan and a meaningless cash grab in Bellew-Haye. 😔😔

I'll be honest I think the last fight on a Cinco De Mayo weekend I actually cared about was Castillo-Corrales I. All those fights I watched but they weren't fights I really cared for. To me it's a whatever weekend. Just a regular weekend that there's fights on.

Oops lol. My bad thanks for the correction.

For some reason I was thinking that fight was in September when I was coming up with that list but didn't fact check it obviously.

I like it when casuals get into boxing for these random big fight weekends. Makes boxing feel as big as I think it should & could ideally be all year round if boxing was ran correctly & with the mindset of boxing first over all the bs & money.

Yeah if only say one fight a month had that attention it would be great. Too bad for the most part the Cinco De Mayo fights have been largely boring since Castillo-Corrales and that's probably part of the reason the casuals don't come back to watch other better fights.
