Well, I was speaking in general. For example, if the fans had a better idea of how the economics behind the boxing works, we'd have a better understanding of the whole AJ vs Wilder situation.

Who the hell put you in charge of what boxers deserved to be payed?

Derevyanchenko would've had no issue fighting for what Vanes got, which is why it never came close to being offered to him. lol.

This is the thread where people laugh at the amount of money he's earning whilst they go collect their food stamps an hour later.

Looks like most financial experts here don't understand the meaning of guaranteed purses. This is what happens when you learn your economics from a boxing forum

Well I'll be hoping, Vanes go home with atleast 500k at the end of the day. Anyone fighting GGG deserves that much, even if the fight has little to no time for promotion.

No way he takes less than 60% if the rematch happends. GGG hold all the chips for Canelas career reconstruction.
Lol, what cards does Golovkin hold?

Saul Alvarez can fight Billy Joe Saunders, David Lemieux, or Spike O'Sullivan in September and still make his likely $20m minimum. Heck, Alvarez could say **** Golovkin and Abel Sanchez and that entire camp, have the plan to fight Billy Joe Saunders (or whomever is holding the WBO belt at that point) in May, and have O'Sullivan or Lemieux be the return fight in September and likely clear $50m easy.

Golovkin is left holding his **** and having to fight Derevyanchenko (Olympian, 23-1 in WSoB, 12-0 as a pro), Jermall Charlo (27-0, 21 finishes), and a rematch against Daniel Jacobs (34-2, 29 finishes), before he can ask to talk about the fight with Alvarez again.

HBO went from being ready to roll out the carpet for a PPV that Golovkin was on, to basically not wanting to put enough money under a solo Golovkin event to even create a decent card, lol.

this is a reality lil g fans refuse to face

to be fair I think hbo would love to put money under golovkin for a decent card...I just don't think they have it in their budget...if this were 5 years ago or so they would...but its shrinking and they certainly weren't planning on having to come up with something like this

The HBO total money is rumored to be $1m, the tickets aren't selling well for StubHub apparently, BoxNation likely got this last minute sham fight on the cheap, and the notion that there's big TV money coming from Kazakhstan to watch Golovkin fight Vanes Martirosyan is laughable.

Where are you earnestly seeing any place for upside revenue here?
