There is no way he will get 5 million. They should just come right out and say they don't want to fight Golovkin. Cut out the BS..

the issue ain't HBO. Folks got it backwards GGG started looking in the dumpster for opponents LONG before they asked HBO to finance it. The fight was still supposed to be on PPV and in Vegas. Then after realizing that GGG would flop on PPV without Canelo and that GGG couldn't sell out the smaller MGM they came crawling in the 11th hour to HBO asking for them to finance crap fights with Spike and then Vanes. If GGG agrees to fight anyone of the top fighters who raised their hands to jump in on the date you could of kept it a PPV or you could of moved the date got a better opponent and a bigger budget from HBO. Don't blame HBO when day 1 GGG's opponent list was Spike and Munguai (a journeyman and a small prospect who a year early fought at welterweight). Nevada refused to sanction the prospect then they cut the journey man pay in half so you had to drag Vanes out of semi retirement because he willing to fight for a free meal and used GGG t-shirt. This ain't on HBO this on GGG for picking low risk bum fights then realizing he couldn't sell in vegas so asked HBO to pay for crap. There is a reason this shyt ain't even sold out the tiny cheap azzz Stubhub.

Folks trying to pretend HBO said here is the budget now go find back up opponents with that money. NOPE they got shyt opponents and when it couldn't sell on PPV begged HBO to pay for shyt fights. LMAO

If he agrees day 1 to fight Andrade instead of bytching about him being a southpaw you could put it on PPV and pay Andrade more then 225K. Or you simply move the date to June you now have more time to promote it and a bigger budget from HBO if you want to keep it off PPV. Either way GGG created this mess by choosing shyt opponents and refusing to move the date. What does Cinco De Mayo matter when you not mexican, you ain't fighting a mexican, the fight ISN'T in Vegas or PPV. There is no difference why he couldn't fight a better opponent in June. Hell Saunders even offered to fight in June. He wanted a bum fight and a small bum opponent at that. Now GGG looking ****** fighting in small Stubhub for shyt pay all because he was too shook to fight a replacement with a pulse or move the date.

And the money is important why??? Does getting less money prove he is less of a fighter? Canelo is going to take a massive purse hit on a rematch regardless, if not the fight is not happening. GGG is going to recoup what was owed to him on May 5th one way or the other. No way he takes less than 60% if the rematch happends. GGG hold all the chips for Canelas career reconstruction.

******, ******, ******. You think a fighter that makes 1 mil without Canelo is going to get the bigger split? Golovkin needs Canelo far more than Canelo needs him. Canelo can make money without and has a better resume than Golovkin. If Golovkin starts asking for ridiculous splits it's because he's scared.
