The actual research to confirm this and set detailed parameters has not yet been done.

And Conte can say all he likes but if the research has not yet been done then he's simply blowing smoke because no-one (including him or Dr Thieme who appears to be heading up WADA research) actually knows what the final outcome will be. Granted, yes, the research looks like it may eventually yield an accurate discrimatory testing protocol, but my point is that it hasn't yet.

    And once more:

The fact they are not using hair test today is not because of the science it's because it's more expensive. WADA wants to because the urine issues they keep having with clenbuterol in meat cases for countries with known meat issues. But I have not found a single expert that disputes that you have a better chance of determining intent to cheat with a hair test then you do with a urine test which also has it's flaws and variations. If an expert like Conte said BEFORE Canelo's hair test and AFTER flatly that hair test is more accurate in determining if someone was cheating with clenbuterol or ate meat then urine test so he has been consistent.

Harping on the fact that just because hair test it's not being forced as a standard today as reason to discredit it is just ******. For a long time they were not using blood tests and it had nothing to do with blood tests not being good but because urine tests are cheaper. Laughing at idiots accepting the science for urine test ignoring it's limitations and variants but ignoring the science for hair test or simply coming up with conspiracy theories rather then accept the results. And Victor Conte just a month ago was quoted as the expert above all experts when it comes to all things drug testing. But now apparently he don't know shyt about hair and drug test? LMAO

Fuck it, man. You ain't interested in looking at the research are ya? Or at taking WADAs word for it. If you want to believe Conte despite the fact that the information he's claiming simply doesn't exist that's on you. I'm done. If anyone wants any further info I'm open to discussion, but honestly I'm thinking you don't care about the truth of this situation.

No one can prove at this stage that Canelo deliberately used Clenbuterol as a PED but neither is it possible to establish his innocence, as you seem insistent on doing for some reason.

So we shouldn't take the word of WADA or the experts in this field of drug testing? LOL The urine test is inconclusive it could of also been from PED use but based on the levels so low consistent with meat contamination and Canelo being from Mexico (a country flagged with these problems in their meat). Every expert states that hair test is MUCH better at determining intent to cheat because meat is such low trace amount where if you are cheating you are putting so much higher in your body and it stays in your hair. If you cheating will have high trace amounts in your hair for up to 6 months if you simply ate meat you will either have little or NO TRACE in your hair. Canelo's hair test came back negative nothing. So we have 2 tests both all lead to canelo more likely eating meat (urine levels consistent with meat), hair no trace at all (consistent with meat). Hair tests have existed for a long time WADA doesn't force hair tests today not because of the science but because it costs more money. Based on the science of BOTH drug tests it's extremely unlikley that Canelo was on PEDs. All the evidence and science points to it being meat contamination. Sanchez himself said if canelo is innocent then why won't he take the hair test? He did and now he himself refuses to acknowledge the science and results and he once had his tongue up Victor Conte's azzz quoting him now Victor Conte don't know what he is talking about? This is all GGG fans have left to flip flop to keep saying Canelo was cheating even though the evidence states the opposite. Time to discredit Victor Conte lol

This is all a negotiation about the testing period. Team Golovkin is trying to get Canelo to contractually agree to a longer testing period and there's going to be a lot of public posturing on both sides. I suspect team Golovkin will get outmaneuvered again by Golden Boy.

Because Golden Boy set the date of return at 9/15, they only have to delay negotiations for 6 weeks or so to get the testing period they're comfortable with. At which point team Golovkin will have to cave in or walk.

The next 6 weeks will be interesting.

Gennady talked reckless and that’s why Nevada cancelled the fight, let’s ignore the fact that NSAC had no choice but to follow their own rules and to suspend Canelo

Let’s not bring up the issue that it’s been over 2 months since Canelo popped and he’s made no effort to have random testing even though his team said he would weeks ago. Really seems like a fighter that wants to prove he’s clean

Let’s not bring up that Gennadys team insisted on a 90 day testing period before the fight not Canelos usual 45. It’s almost like they had doubts beforehand that he was dirty and surprise suprised Canelo got popped the first time he was tested.

It’s clear boxing fans will come up with any narrative that supports the fighter they like

Not fighting him looks bad, and fighting Vanes instead looks pathetic. As a Golovkin fan it’s a major disappointment
Good post!!! I rank GGG P4P top 3. Vanes wont make it past round 5. I'm calling he quits or is stopped in 2-3 rounds. And no disrespect to Vanes. He's a slick, good fighter BUT he's been retired for 2 years??? And is a 154 lb boxer.

Slick fighters rely on timing, reflexes, and skill. Basically the OPPOSITE of Retirement

He is right in saying they are all complicit. The NSAC stands to maintain its relevance and make some money out of hosting this mega event, and many others that follow it because Canelo is a star and Vegas wants all big fights in Vegas. As for the WBC...same thing. They want Canelo wearing that green belt no matter what. They have a long history of overrating Mexican fighters in their rankings and into quick title shots. Enough with the bias. He should have gotten a year ban and a hefty fine. too many complicit interests in boxing... sanctioning bodies, state athletic commisions, promoters, tv networks... If there is one thing the UFC does better than boxing, its structure and organization.

They should just tell Canelo if your not signed up for testing by a date specified there is no fight. Then stick to it.
