Johnson was great. He fought everyone, and was never a douche about it.

He was also better than people like to give him credit for. The LHW division was pretty damn solid at the time he was active - actually, I consider it a golden period. With Jones, Johnson, Tarver, Dawson, Adamek, Briggs, Hopkins etc. Very good. And he was mixing it with the best of them.

Why is it always GGG who is compared with retired champions and always comes up short in the thread starter's opinion? Why don't you compare Johnson to Billy Joe Saunders who only defends his title against guys GGG already knocked out?

because its GGG who is compared by his fans to people with double his defences like hopkins, and I think GGG has gone on record as making that claim too. Preposterous behaviour.

No BJS fan is making that comparison, not has Billie ever done so.
