G is in a lose lose situation. If he smashes vanes in a few rounds people will complain because him winning is to be expected. On the other hand if he carries Vanes to gets some rounds in or if Vanes does better than expected people will say "see that's why he avoided x-figher, imagine if he fought ×-fighter, he woulda got k.o.ed" truth is everyone who is complaining will either watch or actively seek out the results of this fight. Take it for what it is a stay busy fight for the rematch in September.
If I'm GGG I'd try to get the rounds in cause even though I saw him winning the 1st fight I see Canelo coming in with extra motivation & something to prove in the rematch in an attempt to relieve some of the chaos that had plagued his career as of late

Cause he’s all fat since before Jacobs... looking bigger in photos than when Lol’G weighed 173 against Rubio.
Can’t wait till Lil’G leaves the scene! He’s a disrespect and sham to boxing

The problem with many posters, and you can tell me whether you fit into this category or not, is they only bring up good questions about fighters they dislike, but then they support and defend boxers who we KNOW, not just wonder about, have track records ten times worse than GGG's, whether that's Floyd, Canelo, Stevenson, Crawford, Tank Davis, Ward, Stevenson, and many others. If you support and defend boxers like them, then it's impossible to take you seriously about GGG, even if I also wonder about his real weight (although clearly, he is not as big as Jacobs or the Charlos. But, his 30 and 7 day weights do seem su****iously low. That's the part I agree with).
