Haye was swinging wild last time but was still winning until he got injured. Haye just needs to get back to boxing and picking his openings, he'll easy outbox Bellew and stop him.

Bellew got lucky last time, Haye came into the last fight with his achilles injured and clearly hadn't been able to do any road or plyometric work in camp. If Haye has had a better camp he'll steam roll Bellew inside 3 rounds. However, if he's there to pick up a cheque then he'll get out boxed again.
It's a weird fight really, it's two 'has been' cruiserweight's than can't be bothered making the weight anymore, fighting at HW for novelty value alone really, good on them for selling it but it's a pointless exercise in the division.

Nowadays though, this is really just a battle of the likeable scouse lad (who was in a movie) vs the arrogant southerner that most people like to see get beat. Although, the way Haye handled the last loss improved my opinion of him tbh, I thought he was humble in defeat and respectful and I've always thought he was a character in the sport not a puppet of the management factory.

Ironically, being the best at world level doesn't mean popularity in the UK. Lennox was never as popular as Bruno for instance. Calzaghe and Froch never made it to Hatton recognition levels. Carl Frampton isn't as big of household name as Amir Khan.
The flip side is being a big draw for being the villain...Eubank for instance. Naseem Hamed was peculiar, people loved him or hated him.
I haven't lived in UK a while, so I wouldn't be the best to ask, but Haye was never really been that popular, Bellew has more 'everyman' plucky underdog thing going on, especially in his home town where he can sell out a football stadium, I guess he's just more relatable to most fans.

Not sure of what to make of these two part-time boxers.
Pretty sure they are getting paid a pretty penny for this farce.
I want to like Bellew but something him about him turns me off.
Haye on the other hand has become nothing but a con since his return.Last edited by slimPickings; 05-02-2018, 11:30 PM.

Should be Haye by big ko assuming he does have an injury.
Bellew never felt the full force of Hayes punches in the first fight.
Bellew doesn’t have the power to actually hurt or stop Haye imo.
Bellew best chance is to box clever and keep away from the bombs but I can see his bravado offering his chin.....that’s not good against a fit David Haye.
