Read what I wrote buddy. You can't obligate a party to a contract to enter a future agreement with some other party where there is no consideration.

If that were possible, then you would be able to block fights via contract provision. It doesn't work that way.
Cotto was obligated to fight GGG. Step aside money was paid to GGG, so he allowed the Canelo vs Cotto fight to happen.

Canelo was obligated to fight GGG after GGG allowed that Khan fight to take place as well. He then said no more step asides

In the past K2 Promotions has placated the likes of Miguel Cotto and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez by allowing certain fights to take place and taking step-aside fees as they agreed to not enforce Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin's position as the mandatory challenge....

As Cotto and Alvarez fought last November, K2 and Golovkin agreed to allowed that fight to take place....

If Alvarez (46-1-1, 32KOs) does not agree to face Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) after his May 7th bout versus Amir Khan (and this is assuming he wins) he will be forced to hand over his title to Golovkin.

"Yeah [no more deals]," stated Tom Loeffler, the managing director of K2 Promotions.

"It doesnt make sense. I mean, we agreed to allow Cotto-'Canelo' to take place. It was a favor to the WBC because they wanted to have that fight sanctioned. It was one of the biggest fights in boxing and Miguel Cotto was the middleweight champion. So we had actually agreed to allow that fight to go on. 'Canelo' had asked for one defense, which he's doing May 7th.

"But after that, at some point it doesn't make sense anymore. So Gennady has earned his right to fight for the WBC title or to just get the WBC title as the interim champion."
All of this was done in agreement and in conjunction with the WBC. Sulaiman already spoke on this ad nauseam.

Derevynchenko have been waiting for what would be a Full Year by the time he gets his shot

I don't care about "Who Has He Fought" "He Doesn't Deserve A Shot" that is not for any of us to determine that was completely up to the IBF. They told him to fight Tureano Johnson to get his shot and he did that and he beat him so the man earned his shot based on the IBF so give it to him or Drop the Belt

NO Charlo and Derevynchenko are not going to fight, for what? Both are already in mandatory positions so they both will wait for their shot then if they win titles then they can then look to unify but NO they're not canceling each other out like some fans want them to do

You do know the trial was about who was Canelos promoter right??? I know your one of those slow types that would buy a bunch of things before his divorce like a house and sports car but normal ppl wouldnt. They would Wait until AFTER.
Huh? Him going to trial over that case that he ultimately ended up losing had NOTHING to do with his obligation to fight GGG, as mandated by the WBC.

Did it make business sense to vacate? Of course it did. Did it look extremely bad after you just called Gennady in the ring, yelled in his face, and told the entire world that you aren't f**king around? Extremely!!!

You're defending something that we all are in agreement with. Smh

Incorrect. He indeed did pay GGG $800k as a step aside. He dropped the belt less than a week before he fought Canelo because the WBC wanted him to drop another $300k as a sanctioning fee. He felt paying Gennady close to a million was enough. Which, I don't blame him. $1.1m out of his $15m purse is ALOT.

Vanes is not a 1 hit quitter. Or a puncher. Those are the guys who can get short fights and have a slight chance of winning.

Vanes is a boxer who uses timing. And being RETIRED for 2 years is a timing KILLER.

Vanes gonna look, slow, uncordinated ,and silly before he gets KTFO!!!
I think vanes is going to look pretty good, just like brook did.
GGG probably heard the comments when he was going to face brook, hes going to hear it now (too small, short notice, not worthy, etc). So im pretty sure hes, again, going to try and get vanes outta there asap by going in blind attack mode, which wasnt a good look for him and made brook "the one who exposed him".
