How can the IBF be credible when they talk crap about GGG’s last minute selection to fight Martirosyan to replace Canelo, who got caught dirty and suspended, while sanctionning and allowing Errol Spence to fight Carlos Ocampo like it was nothing? Are they serious?
IBF Double Standard? Spence-Ocampo Good, GGG-Martirosyan Bad?

Derev has been a mandatory for a while now and GGG hasn't faced an IBF mando in two years. It's way overdue now. Spence has guys running from IBF rankings to avoid him. -

The IBF has crap ranking but Ocampo is next in line, he was suppose to fight an eliminator but Ponomarev pull out.
The question is should Derevyanchenko be punished and forced to wait because Canelo tested dirty? The guy has been Mando since August of last year.... the IBF gave GGG a long time.... longer then Fury.Comment

What's funny is that there is nothing the same about it but that both opponents are just that, opponents. lil g hasn't defended his ibf & its overdue. Errol is going down the line & is also being avoided.
You are obviously supporting this fake a*s hype job lil g.
What we need next is Jermall to fight the #1 contender to the ibf....Comment

You really think the MW champ fighting a JMW, coming off a 2 year layoff, that hasn't won in 3 years, is the same as the WW champ fighting his mandatory?
Come on Vlad.Comment

Exactly this. ABC rankings are often absolute trash, which is why nobody takes their 'rankings' seriously.Originally posted by MastrangeloThing with Ocampo was - that he was suppose to fight Ponomarev in final eliminator. Winner of that would've been legit and worthy mandatory challanger.
Ponomarev was messing around though and it was unfair to penalise Ocampo for his opponent pulling out of a fight.
IBF doing right thing here imo - They are fair and solid.
IBF in particular has a lengthy history of making head scratching decisions and breaking up unified champions. Tyson Fury after Klitchko springs to mind as the #1 example.Comment

Until it happens we are jumping to conclusions here, it really all comes down to a business perspective. Is going for a rare feat better to the IBF business wise than say having a champion with a small but growing fanbase. Sometimes we have to look at the sport from a business perspective. Personally the idea of the IBF belt potentially being around the waist of the biggest draw in boxing should he win the rematch would be more appealing businesswise to them, since they can then promote their organization using his name and image. That's just me though, I could be wrong but we've seen plenty of weird sht from organizations in the past.Comment
