It was only a week before that he said Canelo was fighting for the belt in the rematch prior to the Clen findings. The WBC already knew about the findings since VADA and him are a joint organization. Why would Mauricio make headlines for Canelo that he was fighting for the belt if he knew his friend Goodman would tell the promoters and then make headlines a week later for the public when all parties knew?
