Did Stewart help Taylor at All?

I'm not sure if there is a thread on this already but I'm curious as to what you guys think. Did Emanuel Stewart make any noticeable difference to Taylor's style? I can see how Stewart came up with a good fight plan strategy but to me he didn't seem to improve Taylor's style to any noticeable degree. Taylor still kept his hands low and took more damage than he should've because of it and he seemed to have similar balance issues that he displayed in earlier fights (discounting the Bernard fight but other fights).

    Anyway you guys thoughts?

The only difference I seen was Taylor throwing the right hand a little straight rather than looping it.

He definitely didn't work much on defense.

steward even said after the fight that he didn't really try to drastically change taylor for this fight because the 6 weeks is too short, and NO i don't think he really changed him at all just shows how tough that kid is, i dont care who you are, you have to give it up for taylors toughness and natural athletic ability.... in a rematch i see taylor improving a lot under steward and wink staying at the same level, he can't really improve much at this point in his career

I didn't know that Stewart said that. But I agree with you in that I think Taylor has beaten guys with his physical talent and very limited skill and that might work for him for a few years to come, however I hope Stewart can instill some skills into Taylor.

If you look at Roy Jones, he also had great physical talent but when he slowed down from SuperMan reflexes to plain old excellent reflexes he got beaten. Roy Jones never really developed a fundamental style which has consequentally shortend his career. I hope Taylor doesn't go down that same path.

manny shows obvious adoration for kelly and has become a kelly fan and called him up and tried to steal him from jack lowe. roger mayweather may not be an articulate guy but he would be right for jt. i like roger brash layman term style of training. jt needs a trainer to boost his confidence level up more then someone who will polish his skills. jt has to much respect for kelly and with

He was slipping punches very well and he was using his jab again. I say he did well but made mistakes that cost him the fight.
