All talk for publicity, him and his team know he's not remotely ready for a fight like this. They need to take their time and start matching the kid tougher little by little so that when the moment comes he doesn't end up like an Erickson Lubin.

Don't get me wrong getting caught can happen to anyone but certain things you just can't experience for the first time in ur first top level fight. These fighters turning pro early and fighting cans for a long time don't know much about being in tough competition and being in crunch moments unlike others who fight at the highest level as amateurs before they turn pro, valuable knowledge that young pros always need.

Ryan Garcia is just trolling and guess what it's working. He got everybody talking about a kid who is at least a 1-2 years away from fighting for a world title. He grew up a huge fan of floyd and that's where his influence and ****y attitude came from. He knows how to sell himself. Already got more female fans then most top fighters today. Just look at his social media game it's crazy. Already got 800K instagram followers almost exactly as many as Tank when he is only 19. For comparison he signed with a major promoter the same time all the top Olympians did. Yet compare the level opponents and coverage he's getting to the top blue chip USA Olympians like Shakur Stevenson who for example only has 100K Instagram followers or Carlos Baldaras who has 22K followers. He already got sponsors and is headlining the stubhub and with 90% of the tickets sold almost guaranteed to be sell out come fight night. Whatever he is doing is clearly working. And he can fight too top amateur was too young for the last olympics so he went pro rather then wait till 2020 and his career is already light years ahead of the entire 2016 Olympic class.

I say its a bad move by Ryan doe. I think you take another year, 18mos til you fight someone on Tank's level & even then I think you transition into it a lil more.
