By the way, it looks like ESPN/Top Rank/MatchRoom is doing its own SuperFly series vs. HBO/360/K2 Promotions.

Good Lord the amount of fights coming up fast on Super Fly! There is NO DOUBT when the dust settles that whoevers comes out on top of the Super Flyweight is a bonafied ATG! Roman Gonzalez has established himself as a bonafied and Nietes is close to be a HOF but still not yet there. Whoever remains to be seen between Rungvisai-Estrada-Nietes-Ancajas-Cuadras-Arroyo is a mystery.Comment

This is shocking and a bit harsh. I thought they banned Nery over multiple offenses including failing a drug test for Clen. Has Daigo failed to make weight before?
Does anyone know if this is the norm in Japan for failing to make weight? it crazy to think that if thats the case your career is literally on the line when you step on the scales in Japan.

I don't think Higa has fail to make weight before. Yeah its harsh if they revoke his license solely for failing to make weight. This is shocking and a bit harsh. I thought they banned Nery over multiple offenses including failing a drug test for Clen. Has Daigo failed to make weight before?

Arroyo recently said hed been offered Rungvisai or Nietes on a card, 9th June in San Diego. Could be the date for Superfly III.Comment

When I read the tweet I thought the Japanese commission was making Higa an example, I figured it was related to Nery's perma-ban and how close Daigo's failure to make weight was to the Yamanaka-Nery scandal -- I'm thinking if this happened about a year later they might of given Daigo a pass.
Tough times for Higa, I was hoping he would get back in the gym and start rebuilding his career, sad -- its a strong message to all Japanese fighters, they don't want losers! only Champions!
Thanks for the help.Comment
