So... apparently the 50 million guarantee was real.. an now he has to rethink the lie he told everyone in the U.K.. and offer a 2nd deal.. when he knew 12.5 was shyte in the first place. I ask again.. why is wilder having to jump through so many hoops to unify.. fight whyte, give me 50 million guarantee, come to the u.k.. Povetkin was rioded to the gills when Wilder was on his way to Russia.. I don't know why U.K Fans are so lame.. if wilder sent AJ 12.5 million offer.. we would have turned on him too.. American is cut throat.. we demand fairness. But one group is offering 50 million guarantee plus 50 percent split.. while the other is offering 12.5 million. Period. Smh. We can see who's sincere about wanting the fight.
The $50million was only posturing for the benefit of the gullible. The "offer" was not in writing, nor was proof of funds offered. As to your assertion that one group (Wilder's group) was offering $50 million plus a 50% of the revenues, that would really shortchange Wilder. If the revenue is $100 million then Wilder's side would only receive $25 million. That means they assume all the financial risk and give a 4 to 1 split to their opponent. I don't think so.
When youre dealing with a promoter, who's obviously lying to the world about, whats really going on, which is the reason for showing an email, to prove how much Hearn is lying to the people concerning how this aspect of sending offers along with contracts, is not practiced, and it showed Hearn doesnt even do business that way in recent fight negotiations. IT PROVED HEARN WAS LYING TO THE PEOPLE, now his fans are mad about someone being exposed as a liar. Hearn didnt send contracts along with offers in the Klitschko fight, when he sent an offer for Wilder to fight Whyte, nor Parker.............HE DIDNT DO AS HE SAYS, SO HE WAS LYING.
A.J. ASKED FOR 50 MIL,
WILDER CALLED HIS BLUFF.
now his fans (AJ), are put in a difficult position, because they usually call this DUCKING/RUNNING, now they are made to look ****** or either liars. Thats why Robbie Barnett is all "up in arms" (he's usually an objective person, with reasonable arguments) Just gonna rack it up as, temporary insanity. Hearn doesnt practice what he preaches, but want his fans to think this is how business is done.
The problem with Hearn's new approach are two folded:
1) It exposes all the lies he has told about his 1st pathetic offer to Wilder.
2) Hearn will have to provide a logical explanation for why they are not accepting Wilder's $50 million offer.
On #2 above, some logical reasons why Hearn did not want to accept Wilder's offer are the following:
a) Hearn does not want Wilder to get 50/50. There is just no way Hearn can pay AJ $50 million guaranteed as Wilder's team offered upfront.
b) Hearn does not want to lose control of the promotion aspect and all the benefits he (NOT AJ) gets.
c) Hearn wants the fight staged in UK to give AJ all the advantages. Hearn is happy for his fighter to make less and fight in the UK so as to keep control despite knowing that the fight makes a lot more in the US.
d) Hearn knows AJ loses - so he wants a rematch. This is also why he was trying to sign Wilder but got his bluff called.
Just yesterday or Saturday in an interview, Hearn stated that this AJ-Wilder fight is bigger than the Canelo-Triple G fight. The latter fight did 1.3 million buys. At $70/buy, that is already $91 million. This does not include ticket sales, sponsorship, etc. No wonder why Wilder's team and every reasonable promoter have said this fight is at least worth $100 million.
All these show is how greedy and irresponsible Eddie has been, wasting people's time, trying to control the narrative and looking out for ONLY his own wallet. True boxing fans want to see the fight - no need to protect Wilder or AJ. Previous greats have lost. The only one who fears losing here is AJ. Make the fight!

Hearn requested a meeting to discuss other terms, he requested a contract to see the other terms. Nobody is saying they send contracts with every offer. What people are saying is other promoters would SEND A CONTRACT IF ONE IS REQUESTED. Wilders team refused to meet or send a contract to discuss or reveal other requirements of the deal.

WHY WOULD HEARN BE SENDING A COUNTER-OFFER? If he truly believed that it was a PR stunt.
