I've got a hunch that this will be the final deal somehow, will probably be a 60-40 split to Joshua as is common sense.

I'll throw my arms up in the air if he starts ****ing around with flat fee offers again.

I can't speak for others but I've wanted Hearn to offer a deal based on a percentage rather than the flat fee, because I don't think the flat fee, regardless of arguments over the amount, is one that Wilder's team could reasonably advise him to accept.

I think the fight gets made when there's a percentage split that acknowledges AJ's A side and unified status, whilst also acknowledging Wilder is a champ in his own right and brings more to the table than prior commercial performance may suggest.

I'll be shocked if he offer's anywhere near 40% to be honest. Joshua refused to give Parker that much he likely won't give Wilder that much given the disparity in their drawing power.

We all speculated a lot in regards to what the split was between Joshua/Parker most thought between 30-35% but if Hearn is to be believed they didn't get anywhere near that if Parker was paid half of the $12.5 mill he offered Wilder as an opening bid.

A 70/30 split might even be too much to expect as it's clear Joshua and Hearn are not planning to just roll over and pay Wilder more money in one fight than he will likely ever make during the rest of his career.

This sounds about as realistic and good as Wilder will be offered should it be hearns 2nd offer. Lets see if they willing to come to the table this time around. Mind you hearn has openly said he wants wilder next, where as they have said they want the fight end of the year. A massive ppv like this usually takes 6 months to build properly (according to floyd)

Improved offer? You don't say. And certain people cried for him to accept the first offer...

Anything less than 30% isn't likely to be accepted. Wilder's undefeated, has career momentum on his side with more compelling recent performances than Joshua and has been a champion for longer. Frankly speaking as well, whatever Wilder gets paid in his other fights is none of Hearn's business. If he really wants the fight to get made he'll pay him an amount that reflects the fact that this is the only matchup involving either fighter that anybody really gives a damn about. Nobody seems to agree on how much money the fight will make so an agreed-upon percentage is only fair.

Given Hearn had arranged a meeting to negotiate he was always going to sweeten the offer from day one. Finkel lied and said it was a take it or leave it offer inferring Hearn would not up his offer. What the offer actually said was it was binding for 10 days only after which Hearn was free to make a new offer or not which is not the same thing.

Finkel meet Hearn and talk the deal out, if you don't like what he says fair enough but to not meet him is ******.

Higgins and Hearn went back and forth like this for ages but the true thing Hearn said was as soon as we both get in the same room the deal gets done quick and it did. Higgins did have the fair excuse that it was a long way to travel if the meeting was non productive but Wilders lot just have to open the door as he was in NYC to meet them.

If Wilder has to fight Brezeale first .. ok but you could still sort it out for next fight now .. come on Wilder make a little effort to get this don, look no Whyte thats all you said you wanted I watched you say it .. straight next fight all you asked for .. lets go champ.

I told these goofs that they look like idiots once Hearn decided to make a better offer. They spent hours arguing about 12m being fair when even Eddie Hearn didn't think it was fair, he just started with a low ball.
