NEW YORK If Daniel Jacobs fights Jermall Charlo next, Eddie Hearn thinks they could sell out the Barclays Center. The British promoter and Jacobs himself acknowledged following the middleweight contender's victory over Maciej Sulecki that they expected a bigger crowd at the Brooklyn building Saturday night for the eight-bout card headlined by Brooklyn's Jacobs. Hearn announced the crowd at 7,892, significantly less than half the capacity for boxing at Barclays Center.

Wilder sold 12k in a mismatch with Stiverne II @ Barclays

A Lara headline card recently did 11k there (w/Charlo on the undercard)

Spence v. Peterson was 11.5k

Broner v Vargas was 13.9k (Charlo and Davis on the undercard)

Wilder v. Ortiz was 14k

Some were mismatches, some weren't. With two Brooklyn based guys on the card last night, 7k is unacceptable. Maybe the reality is Eddie overestimated his ability to promote here.
