i'm puzzled by how some of you can say hatton doesn't move, and how he doesn't show much boxing ability. the fighter i saw all over KT was all moves. shoulders, head and feet. granted it was all forward but ricky can bob and shift well in exchanges and the best defense is a strong offense.

i have also seen good boxing ability against tackie, magee and olivieria (albeit more of a mixture of brawling/boxing). i say boxing fans should stop concentrating on the holes of hatton's newer swarming style. the man's got herky jerky deceptive hand speed, world class footwork, and he can close the gap like no other. also can shift the point of the attack (angles) on the inside very effectively.

hatton will be fine when he next fights at 147. he has the will and determination to be a great welterweight. he, however will not be duran. duran had the skill to be great in any division.

The fact is with Ricky, he needed to strike while the iron was hot after the Tszyu bout.Right then and there he needed to go to the states and take on a Mayweather or Castillo whilst people were talking about him. He even mentioned when commentating that people came up to him after the Tzsyu fight and all of a sudden people knew who he was. After Maussa, Callazo and now Urkal coming up next, he has lost some of the ability to put bums on seats IMHO. His next opponent will be crucial to his career, lets hope his minders choose carefully. There certainly isn't any doubting the guys ability in my mind.
