He's got the feel of a inactive fringe contender to me still.

Usually gate keepers are more active & got more evenly matched fights. I don't see that in Khan's recent past. And journeyman usually suggests a guy who's got some L's vs some lesser guys than Khan's L's are too. Khan's losing to champions & sh^t (minus that first L obviously, but plenty of mfers got sketchy 1st L's).

One of those he got caught cold, in a whirlwind. Other two he was clearly winning the fights (despite what the Canelo judges say).

In a 36 fight career Khan has lost 4 times so he averages 8 wins and then a loss. He has been KOed 3 times so he averages a ko loss every 12th fight. He beat a guy ranked 100th in his cherry pick comeback. As soon as he fights a legit top 5 welterweight he will probably lose again. He is more a gate keeper than a future champion. Peterson, Danny Garcia and Prescott are all active welterweights. Go get your revenge King Khan. Khan has lost a hell of a lot more than 10 rounds in his career. 70 rounds lost would be more accurate. Hell he lost on points to Peterson and barely beat Algieri and Diaz in the UK.

That's the most accurate description imo. He's better than a gatekeeper/journeyman.

I think he is. I dont think he'll beat any of top WW (thurmann, spence, danny) or even up and coming LWW or SMW champions. But he still will be a tough test for new talents coming up. That's the definition of "gatekeeper" isn't it??

Stop trying to deflect the fact that it’s actually May(or may not)Weather who is now a journeyman and gatekeeper in MMA.

LOL.. at lottery punches. Amir basically got measured and timed in the first 3 rounds then both danny and canelo caught him. No luck of lottery there just an excelllent tactical approach.

Kahn's on his way to gatekeeper status but he'll retire before that happens. It all depends on what happens in his next couple of fights. Thing is Kahn has the skills to win but he's a complete liability to himself.

He does have a couple big fights left. I've ordered them in what would be the safest route and give him the most longevity. He's on a 5 fight deal with Hearn - this is his last run.

Broner. Kahn could quite possibly win this. He's quicker and longer.

Garcia rematch. Kahn was doing quite well in the 1st fight until Garcia started to time him and landed that mong punch. Kahn could win a rematch.

Brook - big money domestic fight (50/50). Brook quite possibly violates Kahn in this.

If Kahn gets past at least one of the above guys he awaits one of these. I'll leave you to be the judge of those

                      Porter
                      Thurman
                      Errol Spence
