So why would they suddenly let Luis Ortiz discourage them from getting that title?

Seems Ortiz has more balls fighting Whyte than Wilder who was even offered 3x he's been getting.

If Whyte Goes this route it will be fruitless. You know Whyte would be left hanging around for a shot for well over a year because the WBC won't call for the mandatory position to be satisfied until about 12 months after the Brezeale mandatory. And even then, the WBC and team Wilder will push the fight further and further away so Wilder won't have to fight a threat.

You know what the WBC are like with getting them to force a champ to fight their mandatory.

Surprise, the title is still there. If that were the (only) reason, they would go for it ...

              (That would be "To" BTW)

Wilder said many times he would fight Whyte. He just objected to being forced to fight Whyte before AJ, by Hearn. A different matter entirely.

Wilder is right BTW. No one else AJ has fought HAD to fight Whyte first ...

That said, Whyte is a big dangerous guy ... whoever fights him, it will be a good fight. A case can still be made however that he has unfinished business with Chisora (Whyte that is).

Whyte/Pulev, while Ortiz will have to face someone else in the WBC rnakings. Maybe we'll get Ortiz/Parker?
