Is Team Wilder trying to snitch Joshua from Hearn/Matchroom?

Apparently Joshuas contract with Hearn/Matchroom ends soon, according to Hearn himself in March before the Parker fight they had "a couple" fights left:

Eddie Hearn tells John Dennen he plans to start negotiating the Deontay Wilder fight the day after Anthony Joshua versus Joseph Parker

Hearn hopes that Joshua signs an extension soon, maybe thats Hearns big announcement that he is talking about recently.

Team Wilder is defintely aware of that and people wonder how they could pay Joshua $50 million.

When you look at recent comments from Team Wilder it seems like they want try to approach Joshua direclty and rather not want to deal with Eddie Hearn, even in the latest Email from Finkel he states "If Anthony agrees to accept our offer, we will be glad to supply you with a contract and further details..."

So could this whole $50m offer to AJ include or even require some kind of future cooperation/fights with Haymon/Finkel/Showtime?

Do they want to lure Joshua away from Hearn to make that whole $50m offer realistic/plausible?

Floyd tried to lure Pacquiao away from Top Rank long ago, maybe Team Wilder has a similar idea.

Leave the tolling out of the thread please.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is some game being run on Joshua here. They clearly value Joshua's take over Hearn's. Thats saying something right there. And as mentioned with Joshua nearly a free agent its a bad time for people start to offer Joshua bigger money that aren't Hearn cuz thats gonna suggest to Joshua that Hearn has been short selling him for even longer perhaps. Thats assuming Joshua vs Wilder can be made at the purses mentioned & profit overall.

Maybe Al & Dana are in bed together & Al is working on Dana's behalf to make Hearn look like a low purse giving promoter. There could be a reason there is this 50M Wilder deal + the UFC was allegedly looking to give Joshua 50M per fight. So maybe....just maybe Dana White would be the sham promoter for this fight if everyone agreed to it. Just a theory here so don't let it get your panties twisted.

Good get him away from Hearn he don’t do anything but give us boring fights. AJ said he was a strong black man so I don’t see him allowing loudmouth to promote him much longer.

Joshua will stay with Hearn. Simple as that. Hearns made him millions and one of the biggest stars in boxing.

Joshua seems comfortable just fighting in England so I don't see it he probably already been approached by Al Haymon

I don't think so. I think the offer is a bogus publicity stunt to make it look like they really want the fight and are chasing the fight. Nobody agrees to a damn thing until they know exactly what they are agreeing to. Joshua trusts Hearn and will let him do his job. The AJ vs Wilder fight won't happen this year in my opinion and AJ will stay with Hearn who has helped make him a fortune so far.

Hearn gives boring fights? Hearn is not the one responsible for fights being boring or not. That's up to the fighters.

But Hearn has got the best in the Heavyweight division for AJ, unlike Wilder with his **** 41 fight resume and only 2 of them being worthwhile.

Go on, say it? You want AJ to leave the white promoter don't you? You stink of ******ity, bull**** and racism.

Do the world a favour and hang yourself.

I totally understand why things would seem that way to you, but keep in mind that it's extremely common in boxing negotiations that until the two sides have an understanding on the financials, they don't really move on to anything else.

So it's not that Hearn is being asked to agree to something without knowing what it is, it's that Hearn is being asked if 50 million would get a deal done if the other details negotiated to his satisfaction.

This is typically how boxing negotiations work at the highest level. Until you have an agreement on money, you really have nothing at all.

OF COURSE Hearn would need to approve all sorts of details, but if he wants the fight to happen, what he'd do is say, "I accept your concept for the purse, obviously pending a variety of other details, so let's get to work on negotiating those other details."

But Haymon & Finkel aren't going to start negotiating other details without knowing if Hearn would even take the 50 million if those details were to his liking.

I had a similar thought that Dana could be involved. I really cant see how they just pay Joshua $50 M and take that huge gamble, I dont see that fight generating crazy amounts of money so they can just pay that money. If Wilder got $10-20M in the past and was a PPV star it would be a different story but Wilder cant even sell out his backyard and hasnt sold a single PPV, his ratings on TV are average at best.

If this is just a PR stunt by Team Wilder which it could be, then that will surely not look good on them.

I gotta agree, I just think if Hearn would "agree" verbally, they would have to come up with something.

Even if it was meant as a PR stunt and they banked on Hearn obviously not agreeing blindly, if he still did agree then they would have to reveal something, maybe they then say, AJ has to sign with Haymon, bla bla and you agreed verbally, so thats binding.
