Now there's a counter that states: 50 million or a 50-50 split if the fight does more than 100 million.
Suddenly we are getting all emotional asking for a contract to accompany that.

    Which contract exactly?
There's a lot that goes into an event of this magnitude and they need to have a proper discussion about the details of that contract.

I believe Hearn is concerned, and rightly so, about the control of the event and the money it will make.
    • I think we would all agree that a Joshua is a bigger start between the two fighters.
    • We would also agree that Joshua should get a bigger share of the pie.

If the fight makes 75 million then Wilder gets 25 and Joshua gets his 50 - I think that would be fair.
Now if the fight makes 120 then Wilder gets 60 and Joshua gets 60 as well - would that be fair? Personally, I don't think so and I believe Hearn wouldn't think so too.

I say **** asking for a nonexistent contract and negotiate a better split Joshua should the fight generate more than 75 million.
This back and forth posturing is all to do with winning favor with the public

Shelly wants Hearn to accept the offer, after which a contract will be sent

Hearn feels if he accepts this imaginary 50 million offer, and the contract turns out to be unreasonable, Jousha will be forced to back out and Wilder can then say "Look he is scared". This scenario plays in to Wilders hands so he can force the fight and get more money

Hearn wants to see the contract before he commits, so he doesn't make Jousha look like a fool.

Shelly is trying to get a better offer out of Hearn.

If the $50 million isn't guaranteed then they are still free to not sign it.

      It's not that complicated.
a verbal agreement is legally binding in the state of New York and between businesses of different nations

Why wouldn't they agree to $50 million? It's what Joshua asked for.

Say yes so they can send over a contract. If that money is guaranteed then there is no justifiable reason for them not to sign it.

Saying yes to 50 million doesn't mean they have to sign the contract regardless of all other details...you morons conveniently ignore the facts at hand here, and giving Wilder's team a double standard...completely biased opinions here....and very little intelligence.

Ok. So what verbal agreement is Joshua entering into by Hearn saying they accept the 50M and 50% financial arrangement?

Is it even a commitment to fight or just a commitment to the financial arrangement if they do fight?
