A few observations:
So basically, if Menyaothin gets past Estrada - which I don't think will be easy, but if he does - more power to him. At least as far as quality of opposition it's better than what he's been doing.
- He pulled a Manny Pacquiao on three occasions. You know that guy that has 44 losses? He fought this dude THREE TIMES, decisively beating him all three times. So you question why the rematches were even sanctioned.
- Another occasion was Sam Tehuayo where he fought him twice. This is a guy who had as many losses as wins, then had more losses than wins. So he rematched a guy that was on the decline...twice.
- Another one was Domi Nenokeba where he had more losses than wins both times. On the decline. Three times.
- 11 of his fights involved guys with the same or more losses than wins.
- Freshmart, who is the #1 in minimumweight somehow (Buitrago and Rojas, likely), and Kyoguchi, who is #4 in minimumweight, appear to have been avoided. Kyoguchi has a better resume than both of the other two despite having less fights.
- 24 - basically half - of his opponents were fresh off a loss.
- 4 of his opponents walked in the ring with no wins. Two of them took Menayothin the full distance.
So basically, if Menyaothin gets past Estrada - which I don't think will be easy, but if he does - more power to him. At least as far as quality of opposition it's better than what he's been doing.
